My parents are staying with hubby and me for a month and a half of vacation.
I’m making up for lost time.
Trying to load up precious memories for next “lost time”. If that is at all possible. =(
I’m busier than I have ever been.
Suffice it to say, happier than I have ever been.
Here’s my TY Cloud for my luv-loaded April:
Watching Alyssa’s Colorguard performance (our last time…sad…because we couldn’t make the trip for the championships…but I’m happy for another chance since I thought the show in Union City was gonna be the last time for us)***Easter Sunday at Chino Hills, and surviving the earthquake (at least the mental stress caused by it!!! LOL)***The safe trip back upnorth (Alyssa with us)***The kids’ spring break in our house — one week fun!!!***Having the chance to be a part of Alyssa’s prom at least by sewing a part of her dress (gotta sew up some revealing cleavage cut LOL)***Being able to teach her a little “Baybayin or Alibata”, I love it so much I just can’t let this alphabet die another death***Coming home from work one day and finding Alyssa and the cousins (all grown up teenagers) all wet and laughing, running around and playing with water pistols and balloons — thank you God, because I thought we’re already slowly losing the “babies” in them***Seeing my own “MOMMY” and my “DADDY” at the airport (and being able to hug them after two long years) plus other special family members who traveled with them all the way from PI (Ate Marie, Tito Gilbert’s family including the grandkids, Tito Father the Cardinal)***The warm welcome by the staff of St. Anne of the Sunset Church in SF…good yummy food***Fun time at the USS Hornett then dinner at Ces and Sue’s in Berkeley and seeing more family from Canada and Philadelphia***Fun day at Napa and seeing more relatives (from LA this time)***Free winetasting, meeting a winemaker at Beringer and having him sign my own bottle — great dessert wine!!! (Thank you, Eric&Joei for the wonderful opportunity)***Hugging all my cousins’ cute babies who are not so babies anymore***My niece (and now goddaughter) Baby Bops’ solemn and happy Christening***Scrumptious meal at Buca di Beppo***The Family Reunion Dinner at The Intramuros (which made me want to fly and write my personal thank you note on the sky)***Seeing more family (from Boston this time) and everyone else who flew in and made the trek just to see family***All the good food and picture-taking, the kids dancing, Tito Father joining in the wacky photos and just having so much fun fun fun, seeing the whole clan together***Tito Father’s mass at All Saint’s — what a BEAUTIFUL and deep homily, I’m happy to be blessed with another chance to listen to him since I am not that privileged anymore being away from home***The warm luncheon reception for the family by All Saint’s Church parishioners***TWO MORE DREAMS COMING TRUE LAST NIGHT: 1) Last minute Monday night party~we managed to squeeze in having our house blessed by Tito Father despite the terribly busy schedule and seeing both mine and Aldred’s immediate family gathered altogether in our humble abode, in a supposedly “intimate” gathering yet having the house burst to its seams with laughter and people (because we both have huge families)….we need a bigger house for the size of our clan, hahaha. We’ve always dreamed of gathering at least our immediate relatives at one place at one time, in our own house, but never imagined it will actually happen. Who would have thought!?! Who would have known!?! Oh what a blessing!!!***I’m also thankful to all those who helped me in the kitchen (because I only have two hands and I needed to entertain guests too): my cuzzos Ate Mars, Ate Shell and Ate Bing (they are seasoned Party Central peeps — you guys are the bomb!), sis-in-laws Bing and Weng, and last but not the least….I’m so thankful for COSTCO. Because we managed to pull off a party with only some overnight planning (and no, I’m not getting paid to say this hehehe).
LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE…I’m sleepy but I thought I’d write this all down now so I won’t forget. They say always load up on good memories in your heart because these will anchor your ship on the worst of days. I just received a huge investment!
Always grateful,
