The week went by quick with a lot of things to thank God for — yet coupled with stressors arising intermittently sometime Wednesday and Thursday. Some crazy surprises related to the events we’ve been organizing and racking our brains for, almost pushed me to the brink of another bout of hairfall. Good thing everything had been so far addressed as I write this. I just keep holding on to my belief that there’s got to be a solution for each challenge that comes, we just need to be strong and assertive and think outside the box at times to find it. We need to stand up for what we believe in and for our own feelings, and think how it will benefit the common good while delivering the end goal. Ergo, simply toughening up while making sure we don’t cause others any pain….being empathic enough to make sure we don’t cause others the same stress we experience — sometimes from their own doing. Whatttttaaaalife! But you know, after that rollercoaster ride, I received three wonderful surprises! Today, I saw two cats mating for the very first time in my life (where have I been, I know, LOL) and it gave the hubs and me quite a laugh as we passed them on the street. Then at the Asian store, I stumbled upon Fibisco (?) Mallows — those chocolate-coated marshmallow-biscuits that are wrapped in soft aluminum foil and come in a flat yellow box. I haven’t had it for so long that the hubs bought me two boxes. The most wonderful thing of all today was when I saw a hummingbird for the very first time in my whole life, right in my very own backyard!!! It hovered over my calamansi plant, and then across where I was looking out from the other side of the glass door and then over our fence, while pausing steadily in midair a few times with only it’s wings flapping in an almost magical, ethereal blur. Beautiful! It made up for my Friday where being a tree (a magnolia tree for that matter) in my next life was all I could ever fantasize about.
Life is good!
